Cloni

Stop typing. Just talk.

Cloni turns the conversations your business already has into the documents it needs. Press record, say what is going on, press stop. What comes back is the page, the draft, and the list of who owes what. Written down once, where the next person will actually find it.

Two buttons. That is the entire interface, on purpose.

The thing it is against

Nothing about office work has really changed since Windows 95.

Siloed email. Shared drives. Folders named by whoever happened to make them.

The result is an organisation where you cannot find anything without asking a person. You either interrupt someone or you go hunting, and both get worse as the company grows. Meanwhile the things that actually decide the week get said out loud, in a corridor, and then vanish.

Copying a name into a template, exporting a PDF and attaching it to an email is not work. Neither is writing up the meeting you just sat through. Cloni exists to take that specific pile away.

How it works

Three steps, and you only do the first one.

1

Have the conversation anyway

A walk around the floor. A supplier call. Handing over to whoever is covering for you. Press record and talk the way you already talk. Nobody takes minutes and nobody types while everyone else waits.

2

It turns speech into the record

Press stop. The audio is transcribed and read by an assistant that already knows your business, because it has been reading everything your business writes down.

3

It files the work, not a summary

Out comes the reference page, the draft email, the agreement, and the list of what each person now owes, written into the place that owns it instead of into somebody's inbox.

What it knows

You choose the specialists your business actually needs.

Cloni is not one assistant with one view. Behind it sits a set of specialists, each reading the part of the business it is responsible for, each with its own rules about what it may say and who it may say it to.

Most businesses want the same core. Then there is the handful that only makes sense in your business, and you are the one who names them.

The company that built Cloni is a drone manufacturer, so it added these:

Flight operationsSecurity and complianceIntellectual property

A law firm, a clinic or a workshop would name three completely different ones. That choice is the setup, and it is yours.

Being honest about it

It gets better the more you let it in.

Cloni is worth something on day one, when all it has is what people say into it. It is worth a great deal more once it can also read the shared drive, the calendar and the mailbox, because that is when it stops needing to be told things it could have looked up.

That is a real decision and it deserves to be treated as one. So the way in is deliberately gradual:

  • Start with voice only. Nothing connected. People talk, Cloni writes, you read what it wrote.
  • Add one thing at a time. A folder. A calendar. A mailbox. Each one is a decision you make, not a permission bundle you accept at signup.
  • Roles decide what is visible. Everyone gets their own account inside your business account, and what each person can reach is something you set.
  • It drafts. People send. Cloni will write the email, the agreement and the report. A human reads it and a human sends it. It never sends on your behalf.

The point of it

It gives hours back. It does not remove the person.

The measure is simple: how many hours does your organisation lose to clicking, and what happens when it stops? Nobody was hired to reformat a document. Give that time back and they go and do the thing you actually hired them for.

Where it runs

Built inside a defence business, which shows.

Cloni was not built as a startup idea and then sold to its first customer. It was built because a drone manufacturer needed it, and that company is still the one using it every day.

Dictation carries the things a business is least willing to send anywhere: commercial terms, personnel matters, engineering detail under export control. So transcription already runs on the company's own hardware with no cloud path at all. The capability is absent rather than discouraged, which is a stronger guarantee than a policy.

That option travels with the product. If your organisation has an IP office, a security posture or a regulator, being able to say where the audio went matters more than any feature.

Where it is up to

In development. Not yet something you can buy.

One organisation uses Cloni today, and it is the company building it. There are no other customers, no pricing, no service levels and no case studies. This page describes what Cloni is for and where it is going, so read the table before you plan anything around it.

Early access will be small and deliberate. We would rather have a handful of organisations using it properly than a waiting list.

What is useful to us: where your day actually goes, and roughly how many of you there are. That is enough to know whether Cloni would help you or waste your time, and we will tell you which.
